Monastery of Panayia Tourliani: Historical Mykonos Attraction

Originally built in 1542 the symbolism of this monastery is not something to miss for anyone who wants to experience its sacred history. Stooped in tradition this monastery draws people because of the intricate architecture, such as the marble fountain, amazing dome, and whitewash exterior.

It is believed that after an icon of the Virgin Mary was found in Touros, a nearby town, that the name Panagia Tourliani was then given to the Ministry back in 1767. There is also a museum, which shows many great details about the history and faith surrounding the church.
